"Puerto Rico is Color. Lots of color. You see it in the sky, the water, the abundant flora. This color has also integrated into the people that live here as it will you. When you leave this island some of that color goes with you and stays there always."

Jaymee Paddock Weinreich is a local artist of Eastern Puerto Rico and lives in the rainforest mountains above the town of Ceiba. Claiming a Puerto Rican heritage, Weinreich moved to the island in 1989 after receiving a Bachelor?s degree in Fine Art from Florida International University.
The artist works in a number of mediums including oil, acrylic, pastel, and pencil. She is known for large scale environment rainforest and ocean murals and has done various commercial works in different materials for 3-D displays.
She is co-founder of the East End Art Guild, founded in 1999, now boasting over one hundred members from various parts of the island and mainland. Presently, Weinreich continues to work towards the art environment of Puerto Rico.
